Acceptance
By using Burnbox, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What Burnbox Is
Burnbox is a zero-knowledge encrypted file sharing service. We provide the infrastructure for you to share files securely. We cannot access, view, or recover your files.
Acceptable Use
You may use Burnbox for any lawful purpose. You agree not to use Burnbox to:
- Share illegal content (child exploitation material, stolen data, malware)
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Harass, threaten, or harm others
- Distribute spam or phishing content
- Circumvent security measures
- Overload or disrupt the service
We reserve the right to terminate access for violations.
Your Responsibilities
Keep your links safe. Anyone with a Burnbox link can download and decrypt the file. Share links only with intended recipients.
Remember passwords. For password-protected drops, we cannot recover forgotten passwords. The file will be inaccessible.
Backup important files. Burnbox is for sharing, not storage. Files are automatically deleted after download (burn-after-read) or expiry.
Service Limitations
No guarantees. Burnbox is provided "as is" without warranties. We don't guarantee uptime, availability, or that the service will meet your needs.
File limits. Maximum file size is 50MB. Files expire after your chosen duration (up to 30 days).
No recovery. Once deleted, files cannot be recovered. We have no backups of encrypted content.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Burnbox and its operators are not liable for:
- Loss of data or files
- Unauthorised access due to compromised links
- Service interruptions or downtime
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Privacy
See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect (almost nothing) and how we handle data.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
